Behind the Screen

Dungeon Master is not only an opponent of the players; his job is not limited to designing adventures and preparing monsters for the players to kill. He inhibits world he has created with living creatures who think, breathe, love and hate. Providing them with the personality traits we notice in the people of the real world, he enforces the suspension of disbelief and allows both players and himself to notice that the world they both created is actually not too much different from our own- It is unpredictible for the people on both sides of the screen even though one of them is the one that gave it its first shape.
